Administrative and Office Specialist III
Education, Experience, Licensure, Cenification required for entry into position:
High school diploma or GED. Associate's Degree in Medical Administrative Assistant or related field is preferred.
Prior experience with filing and use of a computer and office equipment. Experience working in a hospital setting. Prior experience (1-3 years) in an executive assistant role preferred. College courses in the clerical area preferred.
Purpose of Position: Directly responsible to the Chief Nurse Executive. Performs and oversees the coordination of all clerical activities in the Executive Nursing Office for the CNE and ACNE. Oversees and independently provides technical assistance for personnel processes to all nursing staff in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures; manages complex data specific to the administrative operation ofthe nursing department such as recertification surveys, employee performance evaluation, employee interviews, etc. Prepares reports as assigned to meet required deadlines. Performs receptionist duties on a daily basis and provides clerical support for special projects as assigned.
This position is considered essential personnel and would be required to work in the event of an emergency, pandemic, or facility need. All ESH positions are required to work different shifts to include nights, weekends and holidays, and/or overtime as requested.

* Ability to act in the capacity of essential personnel during emergency/crisis situations.
The ability to read, comprehend, write and compile information into reports. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in written form. Ability to make decisions independently. Skilled and knowledgeable of file systems. Skill in operating office equipment to include computers and printers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Teams. Proficiency in calendar and email management. Good mathematical skills. Excellent telephone etiquette. Ability to transcribe and produce meeting minutes. Ability to draft, edit, and send correspondences. Attention to detail. Knowledge of electronic health records. Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures. Knowledge of recovery principles and trauma informed care.

May be required to participate in the patient training program as directed by supervisor.
