Change Control Managers are career oriented, technical consultants who are focused on Cisco Route & Switch Technology and have experience using Change Management Tools. A Change Control Manager will have to deal with complex customer groups, Cisco Technology architects & leads, project managers on-site in customers Network Operations Center. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate hands-on, technical knowledge.

CHANGE CONTROL MANAGER Job Description

Essential Job Responsibilities:

{ Manages change control process for new installations in campus environments.
{ Participates in project planning sessions.
{ Writes change management records with all required, detailed technical content.
{ Develops professional rapport with campus engineering personnel.
{ Drives approvals process with various change approval groups from start to completion.
{ Accurately documents and reports change record information to project managers within Cisco & customer.
{ Flexibility to work nights and weekends during change-control window hours across all global regions.
{ Maintains customer satisfaction score of 4.5 or higher.

Related Business/ Technical Knowledge, Skills and Expertise
{ Route and Switch technical support experience in complex network environments.
{ Has basic to mid-level knowledge of routing, routing protocols, switching, internet and general network architecture.
{ Highly motivated to pursue advanced route and switch skill set.
{ Has a genuine interest in expanding knowledge towards Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA).
{ Has leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams.
{ Has previous experience working in a global Network Operations Center.
{ Has working knowledge of change control processes and tools.

Education and Experience

{ Typically requires CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent 1-2 years related experience.
{ OR min 2-3 years managing LAN and/or WAN network implementation and support.

Project Complexity

{ Manages large customer change control processes in campus environments globally.
{ Manages multiple critical tasks in tight time frames.

Core Competencies

{ Ability to balance multiple large and critical tasks.
{ Advanced communication and reporting skills.
{ Major account experience.
{ Ability to work independently in remote customer sites.
{ Ability when required to control multiple project tasks in the delivery cycle
{ Familiar with the organization goals, vision and processes.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications

X Should have some formal Cisco Route and Switch qualification ideally CCNA/CCNP or equivalent or be studying for such qualifications.
