Recruiter position for the Nottoway campus (Piedmont Geriatric Hospital & the Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation) requiring a combination of on-site and telework duties.

Requirement-
Innovative and collaborative Human Resource Recruiter who will be responsible for: attracting, motivating, and retaining efficient, talented, and highly skilled workforce; with the ability to work in the campus setting and execute quality human resources services in talent acquisition.


Recruitment Selection & Hiring
  • Recruitment and hiring practices are conducted in accordance with Department of Human Resource Management (DHTM), State and Federal governing regulations, and Agency policies.
  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges/universities, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job descriptions, intake meetings with hiring managers and job qualifications.
  • Attracts applicants by social media sites, networking, data mining, placing advertisements, and using professional organizations, diversity and veteran associations, and job sites.
  • Facilitates the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details in partnership with Classification & Compensation Senior Specialists,
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and agency policies
Recruiter Qualifications/Skills:
  • Exceptional recruiting and interviewing experience and skills
  • Phone, Zoom Google meet, and online meeting platform skills & Social media sites
  • Knowledgeable and experience with using diversity and veteran associations, sites, etc.
  • Professionalism, organization, and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proactive and able to display initiative
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
  • 2-4 years exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously
  • Minimum 2 years' experience recruiting in related industry and environment with proven track record of success
  • Bachelor's degree and or related experience preferred.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
