Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external health related partners; scheduling consultative visits and communications with public health partners; Cleaning, organizing, and summarizing data on infection prevention and control capacity; Performing descriptive and basic statistical analyses on quantitative data; Assisting in preparation and development of infection prevention and control related educational and messaging materials; Coordinating delivery of reports and resources to public health partners; Assisting in other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience
- Recruiting for an ICS/Epidemiologist with the necessary education, training, and experience to assess, quantify, and report on infection prevention and control capacity in New Jersey.
- This position is a member of a healthcare-associated infections (HAI) team with a home base in Trenton at the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH).
- The successful candidate will have experience in applied epidemiology, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis programs (e.g., SAS, Excel, Access) and experience in healthcare facilities is preferred. Valid Driver's License and access to vehicle transportation is required.
- Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology or other relevant master's degree in a public health-related field with at least 1 year of experience.
- The successful candidate will have experience in applied epidemiology, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis programs (e.g., SAS, Excel, Access) and experience in healthcare facilities is preferred.
