Position : Proposal Writer Location : Mclean VA
POSITION SUMMARY : The Proposal Writer will support an aggressive effort to identify, research, and prospect new business leads and is responsible for supporting proposal management activities across the company business areas. The candidate will work directly with the Business Development team in all stages of capture and proposal development.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support all phases of proposal development
  • Support efforts to meet requirements for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Indefinite Delivery Quantity Contract (IDIQ) Task Orders (TOs)
  • Develops contracts for services with government agencies and NGOs
  • Coordinates with Business Development teams in conducting research for procurement opportunities with the government agencies
  • Participates in strategy sessions led by the Proposal and Business Development team to develop winning approaches
  • Other responsibilities as needed
  • Supporting proposal managers with scheduling and facilitating capture and proposal meetings
  • Analyzing solicitations and developing com pliant templates in compliance with client specifications in MS Word
  • Tracking solicitations/ amendments and ensuring changes to form al requirements are organized and applied to the proposal documents
  • Writing qualifications to include resumes and project descriptions
  • Interviewing technical experts to articulate scope relevancy and value
  • Editing proposals to ensure they are com pliant, consistent, and concise
  • Leading production and assembly to submit high-quality client deliverables
  • Responding to and coordinating data call requests
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Proficient understanding of Federal Acquisition process,
  • Familiarity with government contracting a plus
  • Must be team-oriented, reliable, dependable, flexible, and highly responsive to internal clients, as well as other members of the team
  • Must be able to work remotely independently and as part of a dispersed team
  • Ability to evaluate sources, conduct research, and analyze data
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities, including willingness to work extended hours as necessary to meet client-driven deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, communications, and time -management skills
