Overall Position Summary and Objectives IDEAS is a central, on-campus, engineering resource for the Intramural Research Program (IRP). IDEAS staff work closely with IRP collaborators to develop Client technologies for laboratory and clinical research. The majority of SPIS activities require first-of-a-kind instrumentation design, software development (both for instrument control and signal analysis), in-house fabrication, and overall collaborative validation in laboratories and clinics. IDEAS is looking for a proactive candidate to assume responsibility for our engineering laboratories and fabrication capabilities, as well as work with our engineers in fabricating, assembling, testing, installing, and debugging a wide range of devices and systems.
