Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering laundry to pods.

Examples of Duties or Responsibilities of Activity Worker
Arrive to work, weigh laundry, load machines. Employee is to ensure detergents are going into system before starting machines.
Residents will need names put into clothing. Must keep an inventory log of all residents' belongings.
Laundry worker is to wear all appropriate PPE (apron/gloves) while loading unloading and sorting all soiled items.
Clothes are placed in resident closets/dressers. Required to assist with resident clothing and linen purchases.
Closets are checked and cleaned monthly as well as changing out clothing due to seasons.
Mending of garments is necessary to repair any holes, etc.
Employee will need to be able to push, pull laundry carts as well as lifting laundry buckets.
Working Conditions
Typically works in an institutional or hospital facility. Generally, works 37.5 hours (every other weekend).
