Job Summary:

The Training Specialist III is responsible for leading collaborative efforts (projects and/or workgroups) with internal business units and/or external clients to address issues and identify opportunities in support of xx Care's Medicare products and organizational goals. This position is responsible for the administration of day-to-day operations of an assigned portfolio of Learning and Development and/or projects including but not limited to supporting the Manager and making recommendations in the strategic planning, initiation, tracking, management, evaluation, and development of key learning programs. This position also serves as a Department Liaison for xx. Care local events as-needed, and supports activities specific to populations impacted by Cal MediConnect or the Coordinated Care Initiative. It supports xx. Care's mission by engaging in community partnerships through participating on state and local workgroups and/or committees and participating in community stakeholder meetings with the goal of aligning diverse interest groups on issues and opportunities that will benefit xx. Care's strategic goals. The position is responsible for developing, implementing and ensuring full compliance with US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) requirements in this area. This includes developing and implementing required policies and procedures, desktops policies, and guidance as required. The position is also responsible for developing an efficient and effective tracking and monitoring system for specific product and project metrics for the Special Needs Plan and CMC product lines. This includes developing and maintaining a reporting system in order to report status.

Duties:

Leads collaborative efforts with internal business units to address issues and identify opportunities in support of organizational goals. Ensure that assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope and are in compliance with both CMS and DHCS. Work with internal business units to develop consistent and comprehensive work plans that align with organization policies and procedures. Reports and tracks data in support of operational goals and initiatives of the department/unit. Drafts reports, work plans and analysis as assigned. Ensures compliance with all CMC, CMS and/or DHCS learning and development compliance objectives, and ensure that xx Care is diligently working toward the same from a learning perspective. In addition, the position will support other learning and career services initiatives for the overall betterment of xx Care. Identifies, develops and maintains positive working relationships with internal business units and stakeholders. Serve as a Medicare department liaison for xxCare at local events and activities specific to populations impacted by Cal MediConnect or the Coordinated Care Initiative. Works to positively position XX Care among community-based organizations and leaders. Support XX Care's mission by engaging in community partnerships through participating on state and local workgroups and/or committees, as appropriate. Meet regularly with CCI/CMC community stakeholders with the goal of aligning diverse interest groups on issues and opportunities that will benefit xx. Care's strategic goals. In coordination with appropriate business units, develop and/or coordinate development of meeting agendas, materials, presentations and ensure appropriate follow-up to meetings. Identifies and communicates issues experienced by xx Care to appropriate plan staff for resolution and/or process improvement, as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred Master's Degree Experience

Required:

At least 3-5 years of experience in a Medicare managed care setting.

Skills:

Required: Ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail and accuracy while working independently or as part of a team. Ability to problem solve, multi-task, anticipate possible challenges, seek solutions and reprioritize assignments in a changing environment. Demonstrated strong coordination skills and the ability to manage numerous projects in different completion stages at the same time. Strong organizational, interpersonal, project management and written/verbal communication skills.
