Program Administration Specialist II

Duties :
To conduct timely fair housing investigations in accordance with the Virginia Fair Housing Law and Regulations ensuring that each one results in presenting sufficiently accurate and detailed information to enable the fact finder to make an informed decision about the merits of a fair housing complaint.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Knowledge of the Virginia Fair Housing Law and Regulations.
· Ability to conduct thorough investigations.
· Ability to research, apply analytical skills and summarize evidence and
information and to apply the law and regulations to the facts.
· Ability to prepare Final Investigative Reports, Case Analysis and
Recommendations and other official correspondence.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills, word processing skills and proofreading skills.
· Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
· Ability to coordinate multiple schedules, priorities, tasks and deadlines.
· Ability to interact with the public, staff and Board members.
· Ability to gather evidence and information from parties whose interests are
perceived to be adverse.
· Leadership qualities including being proactive, creative, team oriented, diligent
and detailed.
· Ability to investigate cases in the regions of Central, Northern, Southwest and
Tidewater Virginia and occasionally travel overnight throughout the State.
· Investigator is required to reside within the Central region of the State.
