Licensed Practical Nurse, Correctional Medicine
Cuyahoga County Jail, Downtown Cleveland
Summary of Responsibilities:
Assumes responsibilities for direct nursing care of assigned inmates/patients, adolescent through adult, under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician in a correctional facility. May house 1,300-2,000 inmates/patients.
Provides nursing services to patients in accordance with the scope of the Licensed Practical Nurse license. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of the MetroHealth Syustem.
Mandatory qualifications:
Licence Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio ONLY
Active BLS from the American Heart Association only
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of clinical experience in nursing.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Licenses Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio ONLY
Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association ONLY
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Correctional healthcare setting.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance.
Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance.
