- Our client is looking for a resource who can quickly put together a training catalog by July. (a fast learner, good oral and written communication skills, excellent with excel, word, PowerPoint, outlook, etc. ).
- They need to know how to market training classes. ( Someone who has been an event planner might be a good candidate as well.) There will be a lot of logistics involved.
- Research best practices, meet with subject matter experts, and determine instructional methods.
- Meet with vendors to design workshops and request quotes
- Develop and review instructional workshop materials.
- Create a training catalog and present at various meetings as assigned.
- Design and deliver training classes and leadership programs.
- Schedule and market classes, coordinate logistics for instructors, provide communication and customer service for class participants, and update/maintain training records.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis. Partner with management and other divisions to determine training needs
- Coordinate new hire onboarding program activities, logistics and evaluation.
- Work with the team to coordinate the New Hire Buddy Program, New Hire Tours, and the Employee Mentoring Program.
- Coordinate, market, and administer succession planning activities such as Speed Mentoring, Santa Clara County Leadership Academy, Coaching Webinars, and other projects as requested. Support the Employee Recognition Event.
- Administer the Workforce Development intranet site and manager resource page, lead intern with the newsletter, and find creative ways to market our programs.
- Assist in creating diverse e-Learning training modules and instruction materials through research, analysis, development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Create job aides and tutorials.
- Assist with the administration of the learning management system and run reports, analyze and evaluate the district's training programs.
- Participate on the Performance Management team, provide customer service, and assist with leading performance management trainings.
- Knowledge of and application of the ADDIE model, Adult Learning Principles, and/or Instructional design
- Methods and techniques used to collect and analyze data and prepare reports based on findings.
- Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communications and project management skills who is well organized and detail oriented
- Skills to monitor trainings effectiveness and use metrics to identify opportunities
- Ability to produce reports, spreadsheets, marketing materials and training announcements in creative and fresh ways
- Ability to assist in the development and presentation of instructor led training modules
- Ability to develop strong working/professional relationships with all levels of staff throughout the District
- Public speaking/presentation skills a plus
