Mandatory Staff:

The maximum number of L&A Testers will depend on the number and hours requested by the LBEs before the election. An L&A Tester may be asked to work in any LBE. L&A Testers must be available up to four (4) weeks prior to each election. The four (4) week period starts approximately one (1) month to six (6) weeks before each election day. Unless otherwise directed, an L&A Tester's base work location will be the main office of the assigned LBE. An L&A Tester may be requested to travel within the assigned jurisdiction, and infrequently outside his or her assigned jurisdiction but within the State.
Training: Multi-day (approximately two (2) to three (3) days) training session

Location: Baltimore County, Calvert, Charles, Frederick, Kent, Montgomery,Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot, Washington, Wicomico, Worcester

Duties and Hours:
Perform L&A testing on ballot scanners, ballot marking devices, and electronic pollbooks.

Hours:
Depending on needs of requesting LBEs, part time or full time.
No overtime.

Minimum qualifications :
  • Graduated from an accredited high school or possess of a high school equivalency certificate; and
  • Have a minimum one (1) year of work experience that demonstrates an ability to follow directions, work quickly and accurately and complete required documentation.
  • Be able to lift at least fifty-five (55) pounds.
  • Be able to work evening and weekend hours
