Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift
3:30pm to Midnight

Must have heavy electrical knowledge and prior experience

Temp to Hire Position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

With limited guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks of a semi-complex scope and nature in one or more of the following areas: three phase electrical, DC electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, air conditioning, equipment and production machinery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:
Troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical machine issues
Read and modify ladder logic and program PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs
Run electrical drops for both three phase and single phase power
Assist in the removal, repair or relocating of machine tools; assist in the installation of air and water lines, align and adjust machines for production operation.
Repair and perform preventative maintenance to various types of hydraulic equipment, machine tools, building plumbing and related equipment.
Construct, install, maintain, repair and overhaul test stands, fixtures and related hydraulic equipment.
Perform tube bending and piping fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic application.
Plan, layout and construct additions, partitions, benches, shipping boxes and other carpentry.
Coordinate purchase, inventory, delivery and pickup of repair parts and machine fluids.
Coordinate packaging, labeling, storing, and scheduling pickup of hazardous/non hazardous/universal waste for offsite disposal.
Perform other related responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Technical degree or certificate with emphasis in basic electrical or manufacturing
Three years related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
Must have electrical knowledge and prior experience
May require working knowledge of national, state and local electrical codes.
Ability to work from blueprints, sketches or technical manuals.
May require ability to setup and operate carpentry, hand and power tools.
May require knowledge of general hydraulics technology, i.e. pumps, cylinders, accumulators, filters, & piping; tube bending, piping fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
May require knowledge of chemicals and their characteristics.
May require a Hazardous Material Handling Certificate.
Required to lift up to 50 pounds.
May require forklift operator certificate.
Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work with others and be a participative team player.
