Position Description:

WHAT YOU WILL DO The Network Security Engineer is responsible for the development, creation and delivery of support to enterprise employees and customers. This is a high impact role drives and performs architectural, design, implementation, and ongoing optimization engineering for complex network infrastructure solutions. NSEs work with customers to identify and document their business requirements and map them to standards-based, compliant technical solutions, enabling mutual success with the design and deployment of best-in-class solutions. - Troubleshoots and resolves highly complex network problems across a broad range of technologies - Generates network configurations from Low Level Design for highly complex networks; Plans and executes highly complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity - Performs analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems; analysis of highly complex network designs - Identify and resolve highly complex problems and compatibility issues within services platform - Communicates and explains key concepts and deliverables to the customer's technical and non-technical staff WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH The Senior Network Engineer brings together experts in the network, application, and host security and other technical discipline domains. You'll work alongside these experts, as well as with experts in network security, collaboration technologies, cloud, and virtualization technologies. This broad team expands our professional services capabilities in supporting the availability and reliability of a unified infrastructure, and helps secure the platforms that enable law enforcement and citizen-based services.

Minimum of 5-7 years' experience IT experience in network performing network security design, planning and implementation. - Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting network infrastructure routing/switching for enterprise customers (preferably within a data center environment) - Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting network security for enterprise customers (preferably within a datacenter environment) - Extensive experience in security configuration of network and security devices in a large enterprise environment (routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems) - Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco's Identity Services Engine (Client), as well as one (1) or more of the following Cisco security technologies: IPS/SourceFire, ASA, VPN, FTD, ACI, Trustec, Stealthwatch. The emphasis is on Client or NGFW. - Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.), MPLS L2/L3 VPNs, Multicast and other related technologies.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other related field from an accredited four-year college or university. - IT certifications include but not limited to CCNx, f5-CA, Checkpoint, Juniper, CISSP, Security+ and GIAC are preferred.

-We would like to on-board the potential candidate as quickly as possible, with two to three weeks. - Initial screening will be done as phone interviews. - All local prospects will do an in-person interviews for the next level or final interviews - Out station prospects can be done through Skype; in person is preferred. - The agency will not pay for or reimburse for any travel. - The agency will not pay for or reimburse any relocation costs. -Contract only - The augmented staff will work regular working hours as other Agency personnel or as defined in writing by the Agency Project Sponsor. Agency personnel regular working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday including a one-hour lunch break. - The augmented staff may be required to work after hours, weekends or state holidays and the total number of work hours in a week shall not exceed 40 (forty)
