-The manager is looking for candidates with OPTIC ASSEMBLY experience, not technicians.
-candidates must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents
-this is NOT a DOT position
-FOUR positions will work 2nd shift (3:30pm-1am, 30 minute lunch)
-ONE position will work 1st shift (6am-3:30pm, 30 minute lunch)
-looking for candidates with CLEAN ROOM experience!

Job Responsibilities:
-The Sr. Assembler will be responsible for a wide variety of complex optical, electronic, or electro-mechanical assembly tasks for opto-electronic/opto-mechanical systems in a production environment for an aerospace/defense contractor.
-Uses optical, electrical, and mechanical components to build complex sub assemblies and the final product.
-Performs production modifications to printed circuit assemblies. Assists with process documentation and training.
-Must have good communication skills, and the ability to operate in the fast-paced New Product Introduction environment where changes to design and build are frequent and ongoing.
-Perform as member of a technical team utilizing effective communication skills, including leadership role and interaction with higher level leadership and customers. Actively promotes team decision making.

-Ability to utilize basic math and computer skills
-Ability to work together in groups or teams and develop excellent working relationships

This job requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 or more years of work
experience specifically related to job requirements

1. What exactly are they assembling? All sub assemblies and top level of an advanced projector used for military applications.
2. What are opto-electronic/opto-mechanical systems? What are the differences? We build different stages of lenses, mirrors, and prisms that mechanically install into the projector. We also build from scratch LCOS panels, housings, and connectors to align onto the other optics. We align electronically and mechanically all of these optics. We also build lamps.
3. Do you know what optical, electrical and mechanical components they will be using to build the sub-assemblies and final products? Calibrated hand tools, scratch dig paddles, fixtures, alignment rigs, test rigs, photometers, stereomicroscope, adhesives
