To perform various types of maintenance work for Parks as required.
Essential Duties
- Operate various types of Park maintenance equipment.
- Perform daily routine maintenance checks on equipment.
- Perform snow and ice removal and related maintenance duties by operation of snow plow and other winter operations duties as required.
- Transport various types of equipment with truck/trailer from one project to another.
- Perform other related work as required.

Qualifications
- Possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Shall be a minimum of Eighteen (18) years of age
- High school diploma or GED.
- Available for work flexible hours from the first week in December through the last week in May or June.
- Available to work between the hours of 6 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. 40 hours (not guaranteed).
- Shall have prompt and regular attendance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to perform work under varying outside weather conditions
- Ability to perform appropriate or required physical tasks.
- Ability to be conscientious, alert and focused on surroundings.
Physical Qualifications
- Continuous (67-100% of workday) communicating, hearing, use of far and near vision and of exerting up to 20 pounds' force.
- Frequent (34-66% of workday) standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing using legs and arms for support, balancing, bending/twisting, reaching and exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
- Occasional (1-33% of workday) sitting, crawling, and exerting up to 100 pounds of force.
Working Conditions
- Continuous (67-100% of workday) exposure to moving vehicles and mechanical hazards.
- Frequent (34-66% of workday) exposure to the outside elements and temperature changes.
- Occasional (1-33% of workday) exposure to extreme heat, wet or humid conditions, noise, vibrations; exposure to fumes, noxious odors, dust and physically confined work zone sites.
Equipment Used
Hand tools such as: hammer, power tool, chainsaw, shovel, broom, trimmer, edger, pruner, ladder; motorized equipment such as: push and riding lawn mower, golf cart, pickup truck, one-ton truck; and personal protective equipment such as: hard-soled boots, gloves, hearing and eye protection; and a 2-way radio.Application Instructions
