--position is remote, BUT the candidate will need to be in CR for the first 1-2 weeks for training. Expenses will be reimbursed for these 1-2 weeks
-submittal limit is 3 per supplier

-no travel is anticipated
-Position is eligible for OT

The Rockwell Collins, IT, Business Analytics team requires a Business Intelligence Analyst to support knowledge transfer to our India Design Center Data Visualization team. Training will take place with staff in Hyderabad India. Trainers from RC will be onsite in India. Contract trainer will be located remote and require a strong internet connection and clear phone/webex channel. Training is expected to be 3-4 hours and will be on India time zone.

Training content:
-Overview of Chart Types by type of data and business purposes - when to use what type of chart, what type of data best supports each chart type, explaining Relationship, Comparison, Distribution, Composition.
-Conduct a Hands on Activity: provide 8 freely available sample data sets (For example: Titanic data set, census data, financial data, etc. ) and facilitate the training attendees working in groups to recommend the best chart type for the type of data. Data sets to include at least two Relationship, Comparison, Distribution, Compositions. The goal would be to NOT use technology to pick the best chart type, but have the trainees make that determination and recommendation. The goal would be to NOT use our current SAP Business Objects suite of tools for this - instead evaluating the data in easy to view format like MS Excel.

-Deliver 3-4 hour training to India team.
-Package materials such that they could be used again in six months or with a new team.

Business Problem:
The Data visualization teams struggles to identify the best visualization/chart type for the type of data they have. The team feels most comfortable with bar charts and pie charts, therefore doesn't expand much beyond these chart types. The team struggles with communicating to our customer why their data fits the best visualization style.

-Five years working with SAP Business Objects data visualization tools like Lumira, Dashboards, Web Intelligence, Design Studio. Expertise in 2 tool sets required.

Not Required, but nice to have
-Query Designer, Analysis for Office, Analysis for OLAP or expertise in all BO tools not required.
-Skills in training material development, training facilitation, adult learning styles, working with offshore teams, communication skills - both written and verbal, listening, teamwork, graphic design, infographics and data visualization.
