Job Summary
Program Support Specialist - Contribute to monitoring and reporting on a federal Opioid Crisis Emergency Management grant with a focus on enhancing State capacity to respond to the opioid overdose crisis through improved data collection and prevention

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the Office of Emergency Management's Community Preparedness Bureau, Grants Management Unit with all related opioid grant requirements. Specific assignments will include, but may not be limited to:

1. Develop, update, store and maintain any needed documents to manage, monitor associated work plans, outcomes and performance measures for a $3.7 million dollar opioid grant.
2. Complete detailed progress reports in coordination with Opioid Crisis Grant Team, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), including Project Leads, coalition partners, Fiscal Unit, and Exercise Support Team.
3. Utilize REDCAP system for grant management. (Will be provided training)
4. Assist in creation, dissemination, collection and compilation of reporting templates.
5. Potentially serve as Program Management Officer for an assortment of sub-grants within the healthcare and public health sectors.
6. Assist in coordinating planning efforts across the 19 projects identified through this funding mechanism.
7. Coordinate communications and correspondence among Project Leads as directed by Supervisor.
8. Coordinate meetings, meeting sites, Outlook invitations for internal and external meetings and conference calls.
9. Utilize SharePoint system and established protocols for shared document storage (Will be provided training)
10. Coordinate applicable site visits to monitor programmatic activities.
11. Assist Fiscal Department in financial components related to the Community Preparedness Bureau when deemed appropriate.
12. Complete tasks and assignments as directed by Supervisor.
13. Provide overall support to Grants Administration Unit when related to opioid funding.
14. Create tools for monitoring Opioid/Crisis funding as needed, with Supervisor guidance.
15. Attend Grants Management Unit and Community Preparedness Bureau and Office of Emergency Management Staff Meetings.
16. Other duties as assigned by Grants Administration Team.

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Public Adm., Public Hlth, Hlth or Social Policy, Emergency Mgmt, or other a related discipline.

Public Health Emergency Preparedness or Public Administration experience preferred. Grants Management experience preferred. Must have strong organizational skills, take direction well, and be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
