Job Description

Seeking a Senior PM for an in-progress implementation of a Workday(WD) ERP SaaS solution for HCM and Financials.

The WD HCM and Payroll modules are in prod. The candidate is needed to assist primarily in implementing the Financial modules and will report to the Director of Management and Budget.

Most project work has been done remotely. As COVID vaccinations progress, on-site work activities may be required.

1. Managing the project to completion with Implementer Project Manager(Client) and County Business Process Manager
2. Develops, manages, and maintains the Project Work Plan in collaboration with Implementer Project Manager including:
2a. Assess current state, identify gaps in current plan, develop schedule
2b. Schedule mgmt
2c. Resource plan and allocation
2d. Tracking and status (e.g. critical path, milestones, key activities, % complete)
3. Manages the issue and key decision log
4 Sets deadlines and evaluates milestones
5. May assign responsibilities to available project participants
6. Escalates issues and potential risks to the Steering Committee that may impact go-live
7. Signs off on key Deliverables throughout the project
8. Leads Steering Committee meetings
9. Works directly with customer and implementer PMs and implementation staff to manage deliverables
10. Ability to identify/recognize the Workday application "touchpoints” and aid in the change management/testing processes

Key skills:
1. Project Management in ERP implementation experience with Workday (particularly Financial modules) is REQUIRED. Experience with a transition from PeopleSoft to a Workday solution preferred.
2. Ability to track detailed schedules using software and keep project team on task
3. Experience managing effort-based schedules and deliverables
4. Strong verbal and written communication
5. Strong organizational skills
6. PMP highly desirable
