Location: Baltimore, Maryland
The Department of Health, Behavior & Society is seeking a Research Program Assistant that will be the primary person responsible for collecting and handling study data for numerous concurrent HIV and STI related research studies.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtaining verbal and written informed consent from potential participants
Screens potential participants responding to recruitment advertisements
Conducts routine research interviews
Provide pre-testing information and risk reduction counseling (HIV and HCV)
Collecting biologic specimens (urine, oral)
Making appointment reminder calls and other relevant reminder calls (e.g. network recruitment calls)
Calling clients to schedule follow-up appointments
Conducting field visits to locate participants for follow-up visits
Conducting field visits to post recruitment flyers for research studies
Maintain participant files

HS diploma is required and some related experience.

Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing preferred. Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills a must. Experience with research projects involving HIV prevention and with diverse backgrounds desired.
