Safety Engineer Senior- Signal Specialist, 
PART TIME 20 hours/week,  between 7 pm -7 am; some weekends; cover two shifts per week. 
NJ – Camden (08105), Lindenwold (08020), Newark (07003) and Jersey City (07305)

At initial for first few weeks, candidate will report to the following location:
New Jersey Department of Transportation
1035 Parkway Ave
Trenton, NJ 08625

Afterwards, the candidate will be receiving the instructions in advance where to report on a particular day for the following locations
700 Beideman Ave, Camden, NJ 08105
1000 North Carlton St, Lindenwold, NJ 08020
261 Grove St, Bloomfield, NJ 07003
20 Caven Point Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07305-4604

Job Description
Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience
Requires a high school diploma; 
2.    Supplemental education in the electronic and electrical fields; 
3.    Minimum of eight (8) years in Class 1 Track;
4.    Minimum five (5) years of railroad signaling and train control; and
5.    Minimum one (1) year interacting with various levels of railroad industry including superintendents, shop managers, mechanics and union officials.

Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement
Design, installation, maintenance, testing or inspection of signal and train control systems and its capabilities and limitation; 
2.    Applicable federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to railroad signal systems, interlocking, grade crossing warning systems, and traffic control; 
3.    Locomotive braking systems and their relationship to and interface with train control or automatic train stop systems and braking distances;
4.    Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; and
5.    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

1.    Provides services during 2nd and 3rd shifts during the week (Monday through Friday) and some weekends (Saturday and Sunday);
2.    Performs a variety of safety, compliant, and accident investigations, at four (4) rail systems.  Inspections and investigations are conducted to identify safety and health hazards that railroad management is obligated to correct;
3.    Plans and performs an itinerary of the periodic inspections of all signal and train control and rail crossing warning systems to ensure that it is properly installed, operated, tested, and maintained;
4.    Investigates complaints from railroad employees, union officials, and the general public regarding unsafe or hazardous signal and train control or highway-rail crossing conditions; 
5.    Attends external audits of the State and provides information as necessary; and
6.    Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.

Duration- 3 Years
Hours/Units per day: 10
Days per week:-2, still the candidate should be flexible with days and timings.
