Click here to view a brief video and learn more: https://youtu.be/f299m09q0Fs *** State College seeks an Infrastructure Engineer with a diverse interest in both traditional system administration support and software engineering. An ideal candidate would be passionate in the automation of the full lifecycle administration (provisioning, installation, conguration, & management) of infrastructure as automated, repeatable baseline artifacts. As a traditional system administrator, a candidate should have background in some of the following areas: · Ability to provision, install, congure, and administer Virtual Machines, Operating Systems, and FOSS/COTS technology stacks. · Administration and troubleshooting of network interfaces including the understanding of ports, protocols, and common enterprise system interfaces · Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies like VMware & AWS · Recognize industry standard security practices to secure and harden enterprise systems An ideal candidate for this position will also be familiar with modern software engineering practices as a means of providing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solution: · Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Groovy. · Familiarity managing and developing using Conguration Management (CM) technologies such as Puppet (preferred) or Chef. · Familiarity working with deployment / provisioning automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Packer. · Familiarity working with container solutions (e.g. Docker) and container orchestration solutions (e.g. Kubernetes) is preferred. · Familiarity managing baseline code using a Version Control System like Git Required Skills: * Strong skills with the Linux platform * Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies * Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Groovy * Effectively communicate and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplined team to provide and maintain the core infrastructure components necessary to satisfy mission needs * CompTIA Security+ Certication * Minimum of 2 years experience with Infrastructure and/or Software Engineering Desired Skills: * Experience with VMWare and AWS * Experience with Puppet * Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Packer * Experience with Docker/Kubernetes Required Education (including Major): Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or other equivalent field
