Role Summary

Develops, builds, configures, customizes, maintains, administers, integrates, unit tests and documents the components of software, hardware and network solutions ensuring they meet business and technical requirements. Coordinates with Cox Information Technology, Trapollo internal teams and Trapollo external customers to ensure IT environments, computer applications, interfaces, networks and phone systems operate in highly available and reliable environments. This role will with our current team of software engineers to update and expand our core software solution, built on the Claris FileMaker platform

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Develops, builds, configures, customizes, integrates and unit tests solutions and creates detailed development designs
  • Perform hotfixes by testing in development environment, then repeating in production environment
  • Plans and executes software development projects to meet requirements within established budget and timeline
  • Works with advanced technologies and concepts related to the solution that include API integrations, data exchange, JavaScript, JSON, data migrations, and more
  • Ensures that solutions meet requirements outlined in the design documentation
  • Performs all work to agreed time, cost and quality constraints
  • Ensures that developed solutions are peer reviewed and formally documented
  • Unit tests solutions to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Investigates opportunities to use new and emerging technologies
  • Produces detailed designs for specific application components
  • Upgrade, administer, monitor servers, network throughput and firewalls
  • Administers database and Microsoft Azure environment including review of logs, upgrades, changes
  • Provisions phone system and local label printers

Key Skills:
  • Strong relational database knowledge, including the ability to analyze relationship graphs and how foreign keys relate to - and inherit information from - parent tables.
  • Advanced scripting abilities, creating normalized, high-performant scripts
  • Ability to build innovative solutions and extend solutions using external APIs
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end software development process
  • Strategic thinking to ask “why” of feature requests, to ensure development towards a proper solution
  • Deep technical expertise in development languages, toolsets, interfaces and methodologies
  • Experienced in the hardware aspect of hosting a solution, including software installation, maintenance, and security patches, and be able to work with a corporate IT team for advanced monitoring and security tools.


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum
  • 8+ years FileMaker Pro software development
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high growth matrixed environment
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial software development and IT administration
  • Experience with data exchange methods and technologies (such as JSON)
  • Experience with full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Proficient working in a 100% remote environment
  • Self-motivated, self-directed and adaptable

Preferred
  • BS/BA in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Information Technology)
  • Experience developing software for clinical use by a healthcare provider and/or patient
  • Experience in healthcare IT industry
  • Development experience with solutions related to inventory, trouble ticket reporting, warehouse, call center activities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Pub Sub, New Relic
  • Certification in FileMaker Pro
  • JavaScript experience
  • FileMaker Data API experience
  • Ability to integrate with third-party APIs
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Jira, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence.
  • 3+ years Agile Scrum
