Title: Software Quality Manager
Location: St. Louis MO

Quality manager with 20 years of software quality assurance and implementation with at the minimum 12 plus years as quality manager experience. 3-5 years of Agile/SCRUM experience required. Highly motivated, always learning and willing to partner with their leadership team, project teams, and clients to solve complex IT and business problems. Must have a positive attitude that sets the tone for QA team. Most importantly, they embrace unique culture by sharing their knowledge and experience with our team through collaboration, group work and peer review. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The QA manager will report to the program manager.
KEY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
  • Lead and manage quality assurance practice as assigned, both tactical and strategic
  • Deliver high quality artifacts and outcome through all phases of PMLC, SDLC & ADLC
  • Coach, guide, train QA team members and other team members as needed

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline required
  • Preferred Certified Manager of Software Quality: (CMSQ) and ITIL
  • Agile/SCRUM certification preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred

SKILLS and Duties
  • Experience in managing multiple complex projects in a matrix organization
  • Created and managed new QA team to deliver high quality software applications
  • Established, implemented and improved test processes, procedures and quality standards in accordance with overall software development and product releases
  • Communicated and coordinated internally cross teams and externally to the client and external vendors
  • Experience on testing web applications, managed defects and produced reports
  • Responsible for certification, verification, releases and post production support
  • Responsible for all the QA deliverables and artifacts
  • Experience presenting, escalating, and providing solutions to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated experience delivering measurable business benefit through project execution
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating, delegating and motivating cross functional groups or activities
  • Exposure with change management/facilitation, enterprise communication and training
  • Highly organized, and the ability to multi-task competing priorities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, influence and mentoring for QA team
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge on Mainframe systems
  • Experience working within SDLC/PMLC/ADLC and a track record of delivery
  • Act as a scrum master to ensure successful delivery of incremental releases of a large project build
  • Experience in working with multiple scrum masters, product owners and product managers to align overall sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint approvals
  • Microsoft Suite –Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint
  • Project Management Tools – MS Project, JIRA, ALM
